Amycretin

Category: Dual GLP-1/Amylin Agonist

An investigational unimolecular dual agonist targeting both GLP-1 and amylin receptors, developed by Novo Nordisk. Amylin is a co-secreted hormone with insulin that regulates appetite, gastric emptying, and glucagon. Available in subcutaneous injectable (once-weekly) and oral (once-daily) formulations. Phase 3 trials (AMETHYST program) are underway following Phase 2 results showing up to 22% weight loss over 36 weeks.
